Empowering girls in STEM isn’t just our purpose

Every program we create reflects our commitment to equity and opportunity in STEM. From mentorship to hands-on innovation, we’re ensuring that girls worldwide have the tools and support to thrive in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

Let’s Take Action

Our Core Programs

Mentorship

The Brightest Stars Foundation Mentorship Program is at the heart of our mission to empower girls and young women to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). We believe that mentorship is one of the most powerful catalysts for transformation—turning potential into purpose and dreams into reality.

Through personalized, long-term mentorship, participants are paired with accomplished professionals and scientists who provide guidance, academic support, and career coaching. The program nurtures confidence, leadership, and resilience—helping girls navigate their educational journeys and break barriers to success in STEM and space-related fields.

Girls and Cubes™

One of the primary barriers to girls pursuing STEM majors in college and ultimately selecting STEM careers is being engaged in hands-on, inquiry-based educational activities in high school.

Girls and Cubes (founded by Dr. Alleyne) gives female high school students from undeserved and underrepresented communities, the opportunity to design, build, test and launch into space, cube satellites or cubesats as they are commonly known.

Scholarship Fund

The Brightest Stars Scholarship Fund provides financial support to young women who demonstrate academic promise, leadership potential, and a commitment to pursuing education in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).

This program is designed to remove financial barriers and expand access to high-quality learning opportunities for girls who may not otherwise have the resources to continue their education.

science and space academies for girls

The Space and Science Academy for Girls (SSAG) is a flagship program of the Brightest Stars Foundation, developed in partnership with governments, civic organizations, and education policymakers around the world. Together, these partnerships establish academies that expand girls’ access to quality secondary STEM education and leadership development.

This flagship program empowers girls through advanced STEM learning, entrepreneurship, and social consciousness, ensuring that every participant graduates high school and advances to college. By creating clear pathways to opportunity, SSAG supports poverty reduction, gender equality, and sustainable development—building a generation of women leaders who will drive innovation, equity, and progress across the globe.
